Fcc on Compose v0.3 (Overwritten with Freeform From and FCC on Compose (TB 1.0 ok))

An extension that allows you to type in the folder you want your FCC to go to when the message is sent

If you don't type anything in the 'Send a Copy To' textbox, the default from that account is used

If you type in say 'Inbox" (without the quotes) , the FCC will go to that account's root folder + /inbox

BUT Wait, there's More!

If you typed Birds/TB/Extensions in the Custom4 field on a particular contact you have, when you send a message and that contact's name is the First on the list or recipients, that FCC folder will be used (if it exists).

You don't have to type it in!

If you choose to type in another FCC in the 'Send a copy to' box, that contact's default FCC will be ignored and the one you typed in will be respected.

Use the 'Freeform From and Fcc' extension and in that extension's prefs, untick the 'Use Freeform From' option.

Freeform From on Compose v0.0.6 (Overwritten with Freeform From and FCC on Compose (TB 1.0 ok))

An extension that allows you to type in a freeform From address on message composition (for people with their own domains)

The compose window will have an extra From textbox below the From account dropdown box.

In here, you can type in anything you want really.

It autocompletes the domain part (@yourdomain.com) for you

if you do type a @, autocompleting stops.

You can toggle autocomplete on or off.

To do so type two dashes (--) in the extra From box.

There is a new pref setting that enables or disables automatic population of the extra From textbox on replies

If you have disabled the setting, click on the label of the extra From textbox to populate the field using data from the message you replied to.

Please note a couple of things.

Use the 'Freeform From and Fcc' extension and in that extension's prefs, untick the 'Use Freeform Fcc' option.

Netscape 4.7 Look hack v0.0.5

Thunderbird Reset Quote Header v0.3.1 (TB 1.0 ok)

An extension that replaces Tb's standard quote header with one you can cofigure

Once the extension is installed, your new quote header files created OR copied out of the XPI and TB restarted, you will need to point to the new quote header files in the ResetQuoteHeader extension's prefs.

The new quote header files are simple files that can mimic the look of what you want the new quote header to look like. You put tokens in the file that get replaced with text from TB. As an example, the token for subject is @S@, so wherever you put @S@ in the quote header file, the extension will replace @S@ with the subject text from the message you replied to. There are two different files. One file is used if you are composing in plaintext, while the other is used if you are composing in html.

Sample quote header files are included in the XPI, just open the XPI with any unzip program (like winzip) and extract the files to anywhere you want. You can call them whatever you want as well. When you go into the extension prefs, you can pick the quote header files and locations.

PLEASE NOTE:

The extension can only reset the quote headers on messages that you reply to from TB's main window, stand alone messages you reply to will NOT get the new quote header

You can edit your quote header files to add HTML formatting. After you save your changes, you will need to open a new compose window to see those changes.

PLEASE NOTE that you can now do selective quoting... just select the text you wan to use in the preview pane, then click reply.
